| 150 pages of Jane Eyre left. Needed a break....my head is going to be mush before school even starts. I hate you lazy people who aren't taking it....literally. I'll finish. Probably midnight on WEdnesday. No. I refuse to spend my last hours of vacation wokring on that stupid book. It really is good though. I like it alot now. It just took about 150 pages to get into it. It's alot like Rebecca. Takes a while to get into it, but the plot twist is excellent.
Ugh. not ready for school. Ready for senior year, but not ready for school. Does that make sense? probably not. no...
Off to play one game of Scrabble, then back Miss Eyre.
See you soon. Sophie
PS. Girls night has no plans yet, I'll call you. sometime. soon.
| uhhh.. long time since I updated. I just got back from Montana yesterday. I was there for about 3 weeks. Went through Yellowstone, Glacier, etc. It was really fun. I haven't been there since I was really little. There were forest fires in Glacier so we drove past those. THere are so many placces in Montana that are burning right now. It's kind of sad. Im glad you got to come.
So..you're moving. Not far away, that's good. I can't wait to see your new house. We need to get together and have a lesson with Downey. Have you talked to Ashley lately. I'm gonna call you.
Registration is tomorrow.. Can't decide if I am glad or not. Jane Eyre is looming over my head just a little bit now. grrrr. I can't believe you guys quit AP Lit. Well....I can, but I'm disappointed. oh well.
Erik moves on THursday to SMU. We are taking him down and helping him move in. HIs roommates are Thane Economou and Steven Haukaas. Should be fun.
I've got to go. Talk to you later. Jako says hi. Sophie
| This is incredibly funny and sadly true... Please read.
"I'm the Decider" by Roddy McCorley
Well, it took me awhile, but I finally realized what "I'm the decider" reminds me of. It sounds like something a character in a Dr. Seuss book might say.
So with apologies to the late Mr. Geisel, here is some idle speculation as to what else such a character might say:
I'm the decider. I pick and I choose. I pick among whats. And choose among whos.
And as I decide Each particular day The things I decide on All turn out that way.
I decided on Freedom For all of Iraq. And now that we have it, I'm not looking back.
I decided on tax cuts That just help the wealthy. And Medicare changes That aren't really healthy.
And parklands and wetlands Who needs all that stuff? I decided that none Would be more than enough!
I decided that schools All in all are the best The less that they teach And the more that they test.
I decided those wages You need to get by Are much better spent On some CEO guy.
I decided your Wade Which was versing your Roe Is terribly awful And just has to go.
I decided that levees Are not really needed. Now when hurricanes come They can come unimpeded.
That old Constitution? Well, I have decided As"just goddam paper" It should be derided.
I've decided gay marriage Is icky and weird. Above all other things, It's the one to be feared.
And Cheney and Rummy And Condi all know That I'm the Decider - They tell me it's so.
I'm the Decider So watch what you say Or I may decide To have you whisked away.
Or I'll tap your phones. Your e-mail I'll read. `cause I'm the Decider - Like Jesus decreed.
Yes, I'm the Decider The finest alive And I'm nuking Iran. Now watch this drive!
Now that I think about it, Dr. Seuss anticipated this administration pretty well when he wrote Yertle the Turtle...
Scary isn't it??? But when you think about it........yeah, true.

| I know I am breaking my "New Year's Resolution" (it wasn't really but I don't know what else to call it). I just thought I would post for those of you whom I haven't talked to in a while.
California was fun. It got long but over all it was good.
Got hit on by a transvestite. That was.....new. And a little worrysome.
Got home finally. Missed people a lot. namely one. It's okay. I have seen you again.
Haven't heard about others' trips but I am looking forward to it.
Okay- that's enough.
Glad I'm home. | | |
| I am going to write a really annoying post where you have to guess who I am talking to...it may not be obvious.
1. We haven't been friends that long, but I feel like we have been friends forever. You make me laugh and that always helps. You are random, but that's fun...sometimes.
2. We have cut off most communication except for at school. Why is that? Oh yeah, you've moved on.
3. I miss talking to you. We could talk really easily and then we all of a sudden stopped talking... I don't like it. Let's talk again. Come to school once in a while, will ya?
4. We became friends mutually. I liked hanging out with you and now I haven't seen you in over a month. wierd. You two are best friends; he's seen my best friend but I haven't seen his, wierd. Let's all hang out soon.
5. You annoy me sometimes, but we get along great. What a paradox! Let's not lose touch after we graduate.
6. I like you. alot. I like it when we are together. funny how that works, huh?
7. You blew it earlier this year and that is a good thing. I am glad you did. Because now we are still friends. nothin' more.
8. I see you every day at school and you always make my day better. I like that.
9. You're awesome... that counts toward at least 2 of you, and you should know who you are.
10. We've been friends for at least 4 years now and I am still not tired of seeing you. You make me laugh and so do your parents. well, you ARE the pirate king! Okay- this is annoying me now....so nevermind.
Oh yeah- I am quiting xanga for a while.
